Antalya Golf Club: PGA Sultan
Antalya Golf Club: PGA Sultan,
PGA SULTAN COURSE
Holes: 18 | Metres: 6477 | Par: 71 | Handicap Men: 24 | Handicap Ladies: 28
Antalya Golf Club, Belek, is one of the most popular golf clubs in Turkey, with the PGA Sultan course often in the number one spot in the rankings for the best course in Belek.
Opened on September 1st 2003, the PGA Sultan is designed for those golfers who enjoy a challenge. European Golf Design and David Jones spared nothing to maintain the competitive level of course, while at the same time blending it seamlessly into the forest environment. The layout is extremely well thought out, with tactical bunkers and water hazards strategically placed to deliver a real test of golfing ability. The PGA Sultan presents a difficult but ultimately very rewarding challenge. This course is co host to the Eisenhower trophy in 2012 and is hosting the Turkish Airlines World Final featuring Tiger Woods in 2012.

Will certainly be coming back.
I played the Sultan course with 3 friends on 14th November 2011. We found ourselves on the first tee behind a large group from Finland. In the fourball immediately ahead of us was a lady who could not hit the ball(when she did make contact) more than 10 metres with any stroke. We were very disappointed and upset that a round of golf on that course, which we would expect to play in little more than 4 hours, took nearly 5 1/2 hours having played it several times previously. The stated maximum handicap for ladies for that course is 28.This lady must have used all of those strokes by hole No.3. We feel that tighter controls and marshalling are required to ensure that only golfers with the necessary ability are allowed on such courses. I am sure that golfers from UK will stop visiting Turkey (myself and my fellow golfers included) and return, reluctantly, to Spain and Portugal where standard are maintained. This would be a great shame as we enjoy the top quality of all the courses and hotels and the friendly treatment from the golf and hotel staff. Please act before it is too late
I’ve played Sultan and Pasha in Feb 2010 and again in Jan 2011. Both really good courses. Pasha shorter course, Sultan a real test with water a key feature. Recommend both courses. We did have an experience the first year onthe Pasha when my husband and I were paired up. The lady of the other pair could not play at all, barely able to hit the ball. The only way to really avoid this is by ensuring you go with a ready made fourball. Really good. Lub house tooat Antalya Golf club.

Great course. Perfect balance of tough and easier holes, lay-ups and risk/reward tee-shots. Plenty trees and water but not too severe. The attention to details on the course is a compliment to the greens staff and management. Even if you hit the occasional poor shot the stunning view will ease the pain.

Difficult to rate objectively as I played like a complete dog!!! We debated at length which tees to play off and decided on white (these should have been c 6,100 yards but were probably shorter). The Yellows (Gold) at 6,600 yds would have been a better choice. Unfortunately we were behind a German mixed 4ball, the guys were playing off Gold’s and couldn’t get to the greens in Regulation plus One. This did not lead to the quickest round of golf – 4 3/4 hours at least. When we played the Sultan there was obviously a high level amateur comp being held, this was played on the Pasha and the only impact to us was all the hackers were therefore playing on the Sultan
Greens excellent and fast, just like our home club, immaculately kept challenging course but enjoyable. Club House facilities are excellent but we are not too happy with the trolleys, need drink holder. Staff friedly and would certainly return.
