The Montgomerie Maxx Royal golf course, Belek has been described as one of the finest courses in the world.
Having opened in September 2008, it has a natural wild feel, and is home to perhaps the best club house in Belek with a large terrace and a mouthwatering selection of cuisine on offer. Complementing the 18 hole Montgomerie Course is a golf academy and fantastic, top of the range ‘Golden Swing’ training facilities. Set within 104 hectares of pine forest and ridges, the feel of the naturally sandy ground is maintained in order to develop this particular feature. It is Colin Montgomerie’s first Mediterranean design and he now rates this design as one of his finest. Challenging and undulating, featuring 8 lakes and approximately 7 hectares of bunkers, the Montgomerie Maxx Royal is one of the toughest courses in Belek. The Montgomerie course is also one of the only courses in Belek to feature Bent grass rather than Bermuda, so it is also faster compared to other courses in the area.

We played on the 14trh Sept 2011, when we arrived we where told there where no buggies, and had to walk, in 38deg, the course was in a very poor state, fairways, aprons and 1st cut of rough had all been scarified, leaving the fairway with long tangly grass and the removed thatch left all over the course, in particular waste sand areas just off the fairway, in places over ankle deep, this made play and finding golf balls almost impossible, the greens where in good condition, but the course was diffinately not worth the green fee.

I BEEN THIS AFTERNOON AT THE MONTY TO GIVE LESSONS AT OUR ACADEMY.AFTER MY LESSONS I PLAYED 9 HOLES I TELL YOU WHAT;COURSE IS NOW REALLY IN GOOD CONDITION GREENS,FAIRWAYS,TEES EVERYTHING IS IN PERFECT CONDITION NOW I REALLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO PLAY.IF YOU ARE THINKING TO COME TURKEY TO PLAY GOLF DEFINITELY BUT ON YOUR SHOOPING LIST

Just returned on 27 March from 1 weeks golfing hliday. Hotels,golf courses great with a special mention to Ali and the team at Matrix for excellent transfers and service.
Montgomerie,Nobilis and Sueno Dunes are excellent,well maintained and beautifully kept.A pleasure to play.
As we were staying in the Voyage Belek this was our home course so we included it as the 3rd of our 5 courses on 4th May.Like all the courses recommended to us we found this in excellent condition.We managed to play the first 7 holes before we caught another group up – finished in 4 1/2 hours.Water in play on several holes on the front 9 plus several par 4s which demonstrate they don’t have to be long to be interesting.There appeared to be a shortage of buggies late morning which might be worth bearing in mind.
Fantastic course, fabulous clubhouse, very friendly and helpful staff.All in all a great day golfing.

We have played golf all over the world and this is the best ever.
Course was in great conditions. Greens were true but a little slow. Staff were excellent, all in all a great course. Very enjoyable.

Monty isn’t as difficult as Sultan, less water plus bigger greens. It was a very enjoyable course and we would like to play again.

Montgomerie: We had played once previously, we found it excellently presented, fantastic greens, interesting ‘waste’ bunkers are a key design feature. I personally felt there were plenty of good holes but no real stand out holes, with the exception of the 18th, again I would put it on the list as a course to play again but not rank it as high as the Faldo.
Club House is very good. The restaurant is clean and the staff very friendly. The golf course is in perfect conditions including the greens and fairways. We had an excellent day. Thanks to all.
Great condition, friendly staff and very good clubhouse. We all enjoyed to play here with the lovely sunny weather.
